The first thing I do in the morning as soon as I wake up is to lead my mind and heart to noble and kind words followed by a cold shower!

What would you write on a billboard in the centre of your city?

Love life and its most mysterious aspects, surrender to them. Gratitude gives meaning to our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow

Do you have rituals that help you feel more confident with yourself?

The only rituals that help me are those rituals that allow me to slow down, return my attention to my inner self and respect my natural rhythms. This includes pranayama techniques, meditation and walking alone in the woods.

What comes to your mind when you think of the word ‘success’?

When we succeed in living according to our values and desires.

Is there anything you believe in that other people find crazy?

I simply believe in kindness, in the beauty of looking into the soul and eyes of the people I meet, of the light that their skin radiates. I don't know if it can be considered crazy but it is what I strongly believe in.

What human characteristic most appeals to you?

I admire all people who do not fear outside judgement by simply remaining rooted in their own love for themselves.

Franco Battiato, Jim Carrey for his incredible evolution in search of the meaning of life and Swami Kriyananda.

Do you tend to choose courage or comfort?

It depends on the stages of life, sometimes I like to perceive myself in a comfortable situation with my rituals, other times courage, embarking on new adventures is essential.

I love listening with my husband in the car to the stories told by Alessandro Barbero.

Describe your practice in three words.

I don't have three words, but I try to encapsulate the idea in one sentence. A way to thank life for allowing me to feel silence, tranquillity and vibration. Because the direction ahead is illuminated along the path you practice.

BIG SMALL TALKS

Your everyday uniform: yoga clothing or jeans, pullover and Texan boots.
Your favourite flowers: all wild flowers, peonies and poppies
Your comfort food: date ball and all vegan raw cakes
Your favourite magazine: Granta: poetry, short stories and investigative journalism
The book of your heart: White Nights by Dostoyevsky
Your favourite artist: Cat Steven
Your favourite city: Kanyakumari. The name of the city comes from the name of its patroness: the goddess Kanya Kumari, to whom the temple is dedicated and for whom crowds of devotees visit. It is an important place: nature, myth, history and spirituality combine to make it a famous pilgrimage and tourist destination, especially for Hindus. The best spectacle is the full moon day in the month of Chittirai (April-May): the setting of the sun coincides perfectly with the appearance of the full moon on the horizon line.
